During the period 2001-2009 the authors have Investigated the composition of species of sugarcane moll borers and their natural Insect enemies in the Southeast Region of Vietnam. Among them there are J major pests Include the Internode borer Chilo sacchariphagus, the purple borer Phragmataecia castaneae and the big pink borer Sesamia sp. the authors have also found 21 parasitoid and 16 predator species, Trichogramma chilonis, Cotesia flavipes, Tetrastichus howardi and Euborellia annulipes are the most important natural enemy Insects at present. They will be useful in augmentative biological control program for sugarcane moth borers In the future. Occurrence and damage, biological and ecological characteristics and control methods of three major pests were studied and the first results are showed on this report.
