The research was conducted in the Laboratory qf Entomology, Hanoi Agricultural University and in the rose flower fields of Melinh - Hanoi in 2010. There were found 13 species of insects and mites infecting roses. The most serious species were H. armigera, M. rosae, F. intosa and T. urticae. Rearing of rose aphids in laboratory (temperature from 28.3°C to 32.1°C
humidity from 75.3 percent to 81.8 percent) shows that there are four larval instars and two forms of adults (apterae & alatae). Average life cycle was 6.07 +/- 0.43 days and longevity of adults 17.9 +/- 1.84 days, one aptera female produced 27.4 +/- 1.23 larvae over the period of 10.4 +/- 0.81 days. Under laboratory conditions, the highest effect of the control of rose aphids was reached by the use of Regent 800WG then Shepatin 36EC and Bassa 50EC. The lowest effect was with Delfin WG.
