White-nest Swiftlet (Colloccaliafuciphaga germani-Oustalet) is species of very high economic value, adapted to hot and humid climatic conditions, naturally distributed mainly in the coastal islands. In Vietnam, they are mainly distributed in the coastal islands of the south central coast. Today residents in Nha Trang and other provinces have conducted White-nest Swiftlet in coastal areas. In South Central, the climatic factors, water resources, food resources have been meeting the ecological requirements of the swift. White-nest Swiftlet are always resident in the cave developed in magmatic (intrusive or volcanic) on the slopes of the coastal islands, typically Cu Lao Cham Island in Quang Nam, Phuong Mai Peninsula in Quy Nhon and the coastal islands of Nha Trang city. Coastal area of Binh Dinh has natural conditions favorable for swift's life and their development. Swift's caves in Phuong Mai Peninsula including 16 caves with 4 clusters of major caves (hang Ca, Ky Co, Vung Bau, Hang Doi) and some scattered caves are inhabited of the White-nest Swiftlet. Currently, each year Currently, each year about 500 - 600kg swift nest has been reaped by local operators.
