Objective: To investigate the diagnostic value of beta2-microglobulin (Beta2M) in multiple myeloma (MM) and malignant lymphomas (ML) and to analyse the correlation between the concentration of Beta2M with some biochemical parameters in MM anh ML. Subjects and methods: Blood levels of Beta2M were measured in 42 patients with MM, 43 with ML and 56 non - diseased people (NDP). Results: The concentration of Beta2M in MM, ML and NDP group was 4.7 ± 5.4 mg/L, 3.6 ± 3.7 mg/L and 1.8 ± 0.3 mg/L, respectively. The concentration of Beta2M is valuable in diagnosis of MM with sensivify at 61.9%, specificity at 98.2%, positive predictive value (PPV) at 61.9% and negative predictive value (NPV) at 100%) and cut-off value of 2.36 mg/L and it value is lower than in ML group. The concentration of Beta2M in MM has the very high positive correlation with serum levels of ure, creatinin (r = 0,89
r = 0,81) and p <
0,05 and in ML group it correlated only with albumin concentration. Conclusions: Beta2M is a useful marker in diagnosis of MM wile this marker has lower value in ML. In MM, the relationship between the concentration of Beta2M with serum levels of ure, creatinin in contrast In MM, only the relationship between Beta2M and albumin with very low level.Xác định nồng độ Beta2-microglobulin máu trên 42 bệnh nhân mắc bệnh đa u tủy xương, 43 bệnh nhân mắc u lympho ác tính và 56 đối tượng khỏe mạnh.
