This paper presents some results of numerical simulation of tsunami propagation in the coastal areas of Vietnam by CHB10 hydrodynamics model. CHB10 model was built and developed at the Department of Mechanics and Afarine Environment, Institute of Mechanics, based on two dimensional nonlinear shallow water equations, using the finite difference method with nesting grid technology and dry-wet processing allows detailed calculations in the areas of concern, taking into account the flooding capability of the waves. The model with the detailed grid for Nha Trang coastal areas, and the Thua Thien-Hue has been set up and simulation of tsunami inundation in some scenarios of earthquakes can cause large tsunamis in the Vietnam East Sea.
