In the context of increasing overlapping agreements that are creating the complexity of international institutions, this article reviews previous studies to examine how the complexity of international governance now affects to international cooperation and this complexity increases or weakens the effectiveness of international institutions, thus giving some implications of studying the complexity of international institutions as a given the direction of the next study.Trong bối cảnh các hiệp định chồng chéo gia tăng đang tạo ra tính phức hợp của thể chế quốc tế, bài viết này rà soát các nghiên cứu trước đây nhằm xem xét sự phức tạp của quản trị quốc tế hiện nay ảnh hưởng như thế nào đến hoạt động hợp tác quốc tế và sự phức tạp này làm gia tăng hay suy yếu hiệu quả của các thể chế quốc tế, từ đó đưa ra một số hàm ý của việc nghiên cứu tính phức hợp của thể chế quốc tế như một định hướng của nghiên cứu tiếp theo.
