Điều kiện tự nhiên là nhân tố đầu tiên có vai trò quyết định đến sự hình thành và phát triển của các điểm dân cư. Trong quá trình xây dựng các đồ án quy hoạch việc điều tra khảo sát và nghiên cứu điều kiện tự nhiên cùng với hiện trạng các điểm dân cư là việc làm quan trọng, quyết định một phần lớn trong sự thành công của các đồ án này. Nội dung bài báo đề cập đến nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của điều kiện tự nhiên đến việc hình thành các điểm dân cư từ vị trí, dạng phân bố, khả năng phát triển giao thông và hình dạng của các điểm dân cư (đặc biệt là các điểm dân cư đô thị) để từ đó đề xuất phương hướng quy hoạch xây dựng các điểm dân cư phù hợp với điều kiện tự nhiên.Natural conditions are the first factors that determine the formation and development of residential areas. During the development of planning projects, surveys and studies on natural conditions and status quo of residential areas is an important work, deciding a large part in the success of these projects. The article refers to the studies on the influences of natural conditions on the formation of residential areas in term of location, type of distribution, ability to developtraffic, and form of residential areas, and consequently proposes the direction in the construction planning of residential areas which are suited for natural conditions.
