The 3D coupled ecological model "ECOSMO" has been developed to study the current regime, temperature and salinity characteristics in Binh Cang - Nha Trang waters (Khanh Hoa). The model consists of some processes which can affected to the current profile, distribution of temperature and salinity in the waters as: the interaction of air - sea, exchange of fresh - sea waters in the rivers,... The model is driven by surface forcing at temporal level of 6h using reananalysis data of atmosphere from NCEP during 2008-2009, including: air temperature, relative humidity, cloudiness, rainfall, wind speed and direction) and radiant flux. Data of the runoff (through the river mouths: Dinh, Cai and Be) from the database of the Meteorological and Hydrographical Station of the south of Vietnam centre are set-up in the model. At open boundaries, tidal height with 8 tidal constituents (M2, S2, N2, K2, K1, O1, Q1, P1). The subroutine forecasting tide are replaced the subroutine calculating tide by averaged oscillations in order to improve the forecasting of ECOSMO. Those harmonic constants were checked by the obsened data of the Cau Da station (the institute of Oceanography). Data of steric height were defined from the density anormaly through temperature and salinity. Database of temperature and salinity in the model were collected from website: http://pacificinfo.ru/ and some results of cooperative projects (Vietnam - Germany, Vietnam - Russia, ..). The simulated results have reflected the characteristics of current and distribution of temperature - salinity in Binh Cang - Nha Trang waters and are relatively matched to observed data.
