From the calculation results of the pile load capacity by methods considering the compacted soil zone around the pile or over time when the piles stay in sand foundation the authors can determine the increase level of bearing capacity of pile shaft with depth. The difference Delta (percent) calculated by Skov and Denver method is smaller than that calculated by IC method in comparision with the result of the on-site static pile compression experiment over time. The results calculated by IC and Skov and Denver methods do not display much difference from the calculation method in Vietnamese Design Standards of Civil Engineering (TCVN 205:1998). The research results are useful for engineers to check the pile load bearing capacity after installation.
