Objectives: To evaluate the improvement of lumbar spine's range of motion by long-needle electroacupuncture combine "Than tl}ong truc u thang" remedy in the treatment of low back pain due to dies herniation. Methods: Interventional study, comparing before and after treatment, between experimental group and control group. Results: after 15 days of treatment, Schober's test results of the experimental group increased (from 1.7 +/- 0.53 to 4.0 +/- 0.54), Lasegue's test of experimental group increased (from 35.8 +/- 6.6 to 72.3 +/- 5.5), lumbar flexion range of motion of experimental group increased (from 39.3 +/- 7.0 to 65.8 +/- 3.5), lumbar extenxion range of motion of experimental group increased (from 15.5 +/- 1.7 to 23.5 +/- 3.7), lumbar inclination range of motion of experimental group increased (from 16.5 +/- 2.8 to 29.9 +/- 3.5), lumbar rotating range of motion of experimental group increased (from 14.1 +/- 1.6 to 27.2 +/- 5.8). The results of the experimental group are the same with the control group (p 0.05). Conclusions: Long-needle electro-acupuncture combine "Than thong truc u thang" remedy therapy improved the lumbar spine's range of motion in low back pain due to dies herniation.
