A cross-sectional survey was carried out in Quang Ngai and Phu Tho in 2008 which total of 1152 mothers having children under 24 months (572 mothers in Quang Ngai and 580 mothers Phu Tho) involved in the survery. The results showed that prevalence of mothers had at least 3 antenatal checkups in Quang Ngai (70.2 percent) and Phu Tho (65.4 percent), only 13.8 percent (Quang Ngai) and 11.6 percent (Phu Tho) of mothers had at equal or more than 5 antenatal checkups as Ministry of Health' recomendation. Prevalence of mother had proper weight gain (9-12 kg) during pregnancy was 35.5 percent (Quang Ngai) and 39.7 percent (Phu Tho). Average of weight gain's mothers 8,2 kg. Prevalence of innitiative of breast feeding within 1 hours 33,3 percent (Quang Ngai) and 58.4 percent (Phu Tho). Prevalence of children less than 6 months fed exclusive breast milk was 23 percent (Quang Ngai) and 31 percent (Phu Tho). Prevalence of continued breast feeding at 1 was 68 percent (Quang Ngai) and 85 percent (Phu Tho)
prevalence of children continued beast feeding at 2 years was 13 percent (Quang Ngai) and 17 percent (Phu Tho). Prevalence of mothers used nipples in past 24 hours in Quang Ngai (38,3 percent) and Phu Tho (9,5 percent).
