In the context of the current integration and development, the traditional livelihoods of the Co Lao people in the western border area of Ha Giang province have changed but not yet comprehensive, but have shown the adaptations of this ethnic group to demands of contemporary life practice. This is very meaningful for the Co Lao people - a small ethnic group in Vietnam has been facing poverty and difficulties in development. Therefore, focusing on raising changes in livelihoods, at the same time contributing to enriching the understanding of the Co Lao people in Vietnam today - the ethnicity is less studied compared to some other ethnic minorities in Vietnam.
