Gingivitis is high in the community, especially diabetic people have a higher risk of gingivitis. Aim: To describe chronic gingivitis in diabetic patients. Subjects: Patients diagnosed with diabetes at Dong Da Hospital, Hanoi. Method: cross-sectional descriptive study. Results: Severe gingivitis accounted for the lowest rate of 5.1%. Average gingivitis accounted for the highest rate of 44.9%, followed by mild gingivitis which was 24.5%. The rate of gingivitis in women is 71.4% lower 10.7% than men. Conclusion: Patients diagnosed diabetes mellitus had gingivitis with a high rate declining from mild to severe.
