According to the Global GEM report 2017/18 (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Global Report 2017/18 - GEM Global Report 2017/18), more and more women are involved in business. Vietnam is one of the countries with a high proportion of women participating in business, but most of them only participate in individual businesses. In the corporate sector, the percentage of women who are business owners is only one third of that of men. Women-owned businesses are often small-scale and operate in service industries. Women often face more difficulties than men when participating in business, partly because of limited capacity, so there should be more supportive policies to improve business qualifications and skills, reduce barriers when participating in women's business.
