Objectives: To determine nutritional status and dietary intake of colon- rectum cancer patients. Methods: A cross sectional survey was implemented 70 colon-rectum cancer patients at center of nuclear medicine and oncology of Bach Mai hospital. Anthropometric data including body weight, height was measured. The classification nutritional status by the World Health Organization (WHO) based on Body max index (BMI), nutrition risk assess based on Subject global assessment (SGA), dietary intake was collected by 24 hours recall method. Results: Prevalence of malnutrition based on BMI 18,5kg/m2 was 58,6 percent. Prevalence of risk nutrition based on SGA was 55,7 percent. Prevalence of anemia was 57,1 percent. Prevalence of patients with serum albumin 35g/l was 31.4 percent. All patients received both enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition. Average energy and protein intake was 1359,9 kcal va 70g per day. Conclusions: The colon-rectum cancer patients with chemotherapy has hight prevalence of malnutrition. Nutrition support including enteral and pqrenteral nutrition for these patients in hospital was met recommended requirement.
