Recently, magnetic hyperthermia therapy is being considered as one of the potential techniques for cancer treatment. The therapy is based on the heat generation of magnetic nanoparticles under the influence of an external magnetic field, which can effectively destroy cancer cells. However, magnetic nanoparticles, such as Fe3O4, often have the potential to overheat, which is dangerous for the treated person. In addition, many magnetic materials are prepared by methods that use organic precursors, often exhibiting poor dispersibility in water. Therefore, Dr. Elbeshir of the Department of Physics (Al Baha University, Saudi Arabia) has proposed the use of a simple co-precipitation method to prepare nano cobalt ferrite, which is not only capable of good dispersion in the lip. The water field, which also has a high magnetic field, allows efficient and safe heat generation, very suitable for cancer treatment.
