In folklore of the Middle East region in general and of the Arab world in particular, the image of amusing characters Juha is based on a true character in a series of far-reaching anecdotes. Anecdotes about Juha reflect the lives of Arab people in many different classes. Juha is a mirror reflecting the wrong side of society. Amusing anecdotes revolve around Juha as hidden deep social political messages. The article introduces readers to a unique genre in Arab folklore, initially showing the origin of the Juha character and some outstanding features of Juha's story.
