Currently, Taiwan has become one of the countries and territories with the world's leading socio-economic development indicators. In this common achievement of Taiwan, there is a significant contribution of civil society organizations. The civil society in Taiwan is mature enough, taking on civil responsibilities, regulating social activities in a healthy and developing way (Ho Si Quy, 2015). The paper focuses on clarifying the role of Taiwan's civil society organizations in socio-economic development, compared with the development of European civil society.
