Green growth is a way to achieve economic growth and development goals while conserving the environment, preventing the loss of biodiversity and minimizing unsustainable use of natural resources. However, the question is how to quantify the "green" level of growth or to measure and evaluate the harmony between economic growth and environmental protection. The paper summarizes the world practices on the methodology for calculating green growth index, especially for countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Based on the experience of other countries in the world and based on Vietnam's green growth strategy, a set of green growth indicators in the field of natural resources and environment management are proposed in accordance with actual conditions of Vietnam.
