Since Vietnam is a non-precedent basis, using court judgments in law teaching is not mandatory. Content of court judgments used in law teaching should be diverse, typical, general and in alignment with the content of the curriculum and module of the academic program. Court judgments used for legal theoretical lectures taught via case studies should generalize the theoretical aims set out in such lectures. During the lectures, court judgments will be used as examples. Court judgments will be designed to become cases for discussions. The article affirms that court judgments are not the sole materials and court decisions or assessments in the court judgments are not "magnetic needle" which contains mandatory factors or guidelines on the process of solving similar cases.
