Due to its functions and duties, activities of library always connect with the utilization of copyright. Among the economic rights of copyright s holder, there are rights relating closely to activities of library, including rights: (i) to reproduce their works
(ii) to display their works to the public
(iii) to distribute works
(iv) to translate works. While performing their tasks and roles, library has responsibility for complying legal provisions on copyright, and simultaneously, for ensuring the public's ability to effectively exploit library's resources. It is not a simple role, especially in the context of strengthening global copyright protection meanwhile the law on copyright protection in terms of library's activities still has certain shortcomings. This paper deals with the copyright utilization in library's activities under copyright law and suggests some implications in enhancing copyright protection relating to library's activities in Vietnam.
