Son La is a mountainous province in Northern Vietnam midland area. It is mountainous and the economy is mainly based on agriculture. Therefore, assessing factors that affect the development and distribution of agriculture would contribute to agricultural development that is more industrial and sustainable. This paper focuses on geographic location, natural conditions as well as the social and economic conditions that affect agricultural development in Son La province.
