Objectives: Evaluation of clinical features and radiological diagnosis of hypertensive cerebellar haemorrhage. Methods: Prospective study of 37 patients with cerebellar haemorrhage due to hypertension admitted at Bach Mai hospital from 10/2013 to 2/2014. Results: 24 males/ 13 females with mean age 58.7.The onset was found with awful headache 94.6 percent, initial unconsciousness 32.4 percent, coma 35.1 percent. Mean time between ictus and hospital was 25.8h. On arrival at hospital, The clinical presentations included lethargy and coma in 59.4 percent, dyspnes in 35.1 percent, cardiovascular troubles in 29.7 percent, cerebellar syndrome in 37.8 percent. Scanner revealedcerebellar haemorrhage in 59.4 percent, cerebellar haemorrhage associated with vermie haemorrhage in 40.5 percent. 56.7 percent of patients have hematoma over 3cm. Effacedciternes in 45.9 percent and 62.2 percent with supratentorial hydrocephalus. MSCT scan and Angiography showed no vascular anormalities. Conclusions: Cerebellar haemorrhage due to hypertension often occurs suddenly in old patients, with severe headache, vomitting, coma, respiratory and cardiovascular deteriorations, associated cerebellar syndrome. Scanner shows 56.7 percent of patients having intracerebellarhematome and vermie over 3cm and 62.2 percent of patients with supratentorial hydrocephalus.
