In the study, 94 patients with unstable pelvic ring fractures with average age of 30,6 + or - 6,3 years (range 16-63 years), who underwent treatment from May 2007 to November 2011 in Cho Ray Hospital. Results: the ratio of shock 68,1 percent
closed fractures is 75,5 percent and 24,5 percent open fractures
Classifications by Young & Burgess (1990): APC 45,7 percent, LC 26,6 percent, CM 17 percent and VS 10,7 percent. Injury of the posterior pelvic arc: Injury of Sacro-Iliac joints 86,2 percent, sacral fractures 19,2 percent, iliac fractures 18,1 percent and combination 22,3 percent. Injury of the anterior pelvic arc: fractures of the pubis 63,8 percent and diastasis 36,2 percent. Functional outcome: excellent 27,2 percent, good 37 percent, fair 24,7 percent and poor 11,1 percent
results of group APC and LC is better than group VS, CM.
