Objectives: (1) Develop the protocol of laparoscopy application and caring for patients with appendectomy categorised as appendicitis hided under caecum in Hanoi Medical University Hospital. (2) Initial evaluation the result of treatment those patients with appendicitis hided under caecum. Methodology: Restrospective. Subjects: 46 patients with appendicitis hided under caecum met the criteria of inclusion. Result: Obtained the protocol of laparoscopy application and caring for patients. Mean of patient's age at 38.15 + or - 19 years. Duration from admitted to hospital to operation at 9.33 or 8.26 hours. Mean of operation duration as 62.38 or 23.56 minutes. Group of patients with laparoscopic appendectomy shows significant lower in duration of antibiotic therapy, duration of normal bowl moverment and duration of treatment compared with group of patients with normal appendectomy. Conclusion: Laparoscopy is a safety and effective application to treat patient with appendicites hided under caecum. The recovery duration after appendectomy (bowl moverment, treatment days) significant shorter compared with general appendectomy, patients got back to general working task sooner.
