This study was carried out based on description study and laboratory analysis study methods. It was conducted at 112 water supply stations in rural areas of Hai Phong, in 20092010. The result showed that 83.04 percent of water supply stations were at risk of causing water pollution, 4.46 percent of those stations were at high risk of causing water pollution, 11.77 percent of the stations were operating with storage tanks below hygiene condition standards, 6.41 percent of them were operating with flocculation and sedimentation tanks below hygiene condition standards, 98.18 percent of the stations were found with filter tanks below hygiene condition standards, the ratio of samples that did not meet hygiene requirements was 34.82 percent. The following indicators did not meet hygiene requirements: chlorine level was 28.57 percent surplus, turbidity level stood at 8.93 percent, chloride level at 2.68 percent, coliforms ~nd Fecal coliforms were measured to be 5.36 percent and 3.57 percent respectively and there had been connection be tween water quality after treatment and hygiene condtions of water treatment system, the usage of flocculation and disinfection chemicals.
