Objectives: 1) Describe the anatomic lesion of tibial fracture
2) Evaluate the result of osteosynthesis with locking intramedullary nail for tibial fracture. Patients and method: Retrospective study 55 tibial fracture patients treated with locking intramedullary nail osteosynthesis in Hanoi Medical University Hospital. Results: 49,1 percent 1/3 middle fracture
43,6 percent 1/3 distal fracture. Oosed fracture is 45,5 percent
1 grade open fracture is 30,9 percent
2 grade open fracture is 18,2 percent and 3A grade open fracture is 5,5 percent. Primary soft: tissue healing is 89 percent. Bone healing is 91,9 percent. Overall results: Excellent is 81,1 percent
Good is 10,8 percent and moderate is 8,1 percent. Conclusion: Locking intramedullary nail osteosynthesis for tibial fracture give good results.
