Being the leading export product, in 2012 the turnover of Vietnam textile reached 15.09 billion dollars that increased 7.5 percent compared to those one in the year 2011 and accounted for over 13 percent of the total exports of the country. Textile industry is considered as the spearhead of Vietnam to build its economy towards the exports. However, in the process of the integration of the world economy, the Vietnam has not exploited the potential and the strength of the industry yet. Through analysis, the article points out the weaknesses of the textile industry as well as the complex laws of the US market in order to offer a great number of solutions to promote export of this item to the US market during the period of international economic integration.
