This study was conducted to investigate patient satisfaction and nurse communication among inhospital patients and to examine the relationship between nurses' communication and patients' satisfaction. Data were collected by the structured self-report from 123 in-hospital patients at 3 department of medicine at Thai Nguyen general central hospital. The respondents evaluated the extent to which 36 items of the both questionnaires on a five-point Likert scale. The research's results showed that the patients were mediumly satisfied with nurses' communication (x = 3.3, SD = .60), and the patients rated about nurse communication was moderate (x = 3.59, SD = .69) too. Specially, the research result showed that patient satisfaction had a strong positive correlation with nurse communication (r = .63, P 0.01). Therefore, to increase patient satisfaction the nurse communication skills should be promoted in order to ensure the quality of nursing care.
