According to preliminary assessment, the flora of Ba Hoa mountain in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province consists of 4 vascular plant divisions: Lycopodiophyta, Polypodiophyta, Pinophyta and Magnoliophyta with the total of 61 families, 180 genera and 272 species. Magnoliophyta is the largest division with 260 species, 173 genera and 55 families, consisting of 202 species, 132 genera and 47 families of Magnoliopsida and 58 species, 41 genera and 8 families of Liliopsida (the rate of species between Magnoliopsida and Liliopsida is 3.48). Polypodiophyta with 9 species, 5 genera and 4 families is the second most diverse major group. Pinophyta (2 species, 1 genus and 1 family) and Lycopodiophyta (1 species, 1 genus and 1 family) are the least diverse. The flora at Ba Hoa mountain, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province conserves 4 species now being threatened with extinction (Vietnam Red Data Book, part II: Plants, 2007).
