Aims: To evaluate the dental arch shape and size in students with Class I malocclusion. Materials and Methods: The subjects were 50 students with Class I malocclusions. The clinical examinations were performed and the dental casts were analysed. The dental arch dimentions were measured on study casts and the dental arch form was also evaluated. Results: The results showed that the most prevalent arch form among the individuals of the sample was of the ovoid arch forms while tapered and square arch forms were 2nd and 3rd in the prevalence order. The upper archs had highly significant larger mean arch widths and depths than the lowers. The archs in males had highly significant larger mean arch widths and depths than the archs in females. The study emphasizes that consideration should be given to the arch form specific for the particular individual.
