The ultrastructural morphology of sperm was researched under a scanning electron microscope Jcol JCM-5410LV and transmission electron microscope JEM 1010 of JOL on three groups of normal semen samples
Oligospermia samples and asthenospermia samples of infertile couples. Semen samples were analyzed as normal rule of Lab of embyo and tissue preservation, Hanoi Medical University. The results were that: there were differences in the characteristics of the ultrastructural morphology of sperm. Under the scanning electron microscppe, the group of normal semen had normal ultrastructural images, typical as description of WHO, oval sperm head, the outer surface of the plasma membrane is very rough. short neck, the intermediate section of tail is short and enlarged. the principal section is long and unevenly. Under the transmission electron microscope, sperm head had quite big nucleus, in nucleus chromatin was dense, terminal pocket was a double membrane. In Oligospermia and asthenospermia groups, there were a lot of abnormal sperm morphology, the structure of sections including head. neck and tail was not typical.
