Hemorrhoids are one of the diseases of ano-rectal region observed at the Friendship Hospital from 8/2008 to 9/2012. During this time, 110 patients with hemorrhoids have been treated using the Longo surgical technique. Among these, 85 patients (75.5 percent) were male, and 27 patients (25.5 percent) were female. Most patients (89 patients or 80.9 percent) suffered 3th to 4th degree hemorrhoids. 61.8 percent of the hemorrhoid patients also suffered with other diseases. The average age was 65.35 years old. Surgical time was reduced to a minimum with an average time during the surgery was 23.34 + or - 8.10 mins. The recovery rate after corrective surgery was excellent achieving 94.5 percent recovery postoperatively and 5.5 percent of the patients suffered minor completion. Overall, there were no major postoperative complication observed and 100 percent of the patients reported satisfied with the results of the surgery. Significant: Aged patients with advanced hemorrhoids can be safely treated using Longo surgical technique.
