To describe the knowledge of health workers about monitoring and managing HIV prevention program at 3 urban districts in Hai Phong in 2010. Materials and methods: Study desing is retrospective description. Use the order form filling, interview all 101 medical staff directly monitoring programs for HIV/AIDS, profiles retrospective diagnostic test results (4,000 samples) of an object in the sentinel surveillance sample collected at 3 districts of Hai Phong (Ngo Quyen, Hong Bang, Le Chan), from 10/2009 to 10/2010. Results: Knowledge of supervising: 81.2 percent of cadres knows the target of the HIV supervision is to determine high-risk groups to propose interventions method
79.2 percent can name the supervision: determine the change of the HIV transmission form
77.2 percent know the "forecasting the HIV situation to plan the prevention" supervision. Percentage of cadres know the "planning the highest resource allocation" application is 55.4 percent
acess the effectiveness of interventions method accounted for 26.7 percent. Percentage of cadres think that injecting drug users group is the main objective in the public health in AIDS prevention has the highest percentage (72.3 percent), tuberculosis patients has the lowest cadres think about (36.6 percent)
