Abuse of alcohol causes serious impacts to public health and society safety. In modem society, high school students are facing more risk behaviours, in which alcohol asumption is seen as the most common behavior. A cross-sectional study was canied out to determine the proportion of alcohol use, right knowledge on alcohol use and its related factors among 425 students at the Dong Xoai high school, Dong Xoai town, Binh Phuoc province. The results showed that the precentage of drinking alcohol was 47.5 percent. The initiation average age of alcohol asumption 15, 1. The common reason for alcohol drinking was communication (58.6 percent). Restaurant was the most reported for using alcohol (88.6 percent). The right knowledge on alcohol remained at low percentage (21.2 percent). Factors that associated with alcohol assumption were revealed in this study included: age, sex, grade, academic performance, the monthly income, having family members who are alcohol abuser. This result has provided some basis evidences on alcohol asumption among high school students since it helps for appropriate suggestions in awareness improvement on alcohol use, thereby contributing to reducing the alcohol asumption status among students.
