Research on some characteristics of natural distribution areas and growth of seedlings of Do Bau species indicates that the species distributes widely in the country and the growth of seedlings in nersery depends on shading level and container component This sepcies naturally distributes along 12 latitudes and at altitude of 5-1200 m above sea level. Do Bau occurs in the evergreen mixture broad-leaved forest and semi-decidous broadleaved forest, where the veriation of temperature and rainfall is rather high (annual average temperature is from 21.0 - 27.6°C, annual average rainfall is from 1,444 - 3,800 mm). Do Bau usuiilly has high component index and it plays an important role in the stand. It could adapt to a wide range of thin to thick layers of soil, where humus, N, P, K from the average to high levels. In the nersery period: Do Bau seedlings are suitable to the shading of 50 percent, 8 - 9 month seedling are suitable to the shading of 25 percent, and 1.5 months before planting, seedlings need no shading
mixture of contaner includes 90 percent of top soil + 8 percent muck + 2 percent birfertilizer for good growth of diameter and height.
