This paper presents technical soIutions in use for designing and reforming strudure of coal-fired continuous furnaces for redudng ration of energy consumption of the local steel industry. Technical solutions are mainly applied in the impotant and basic parts of furnaces: fired space, preheating zone, heating zone, gasmechanices, quality of thermal insulation. Steel production capacity is 5 t/h and 8 t/h. These furnace models are set up in many areas across the conntry that contribute to redudng energy consumption of local industry.
