Backgrounds: The first class hospitals under the Department of Health in Ho Chi Minh city has been continuously improved, improving the quality of health care. However, a department patients with a high demand for health services began to turn to choose the basis of private health services, treatment or go abroad, which provide quality medical services output function better. Objectives: To study the factors that influence patient satisfaction in health care in a number of first class hospitals under the Department of Health in Ho Chi Minh city. Methods: cross-sectional descriptive study, direct interviews with questionnaires in 1137 patients aged 16 years or older to examination, treatment and discharge at Trung Vuong Emergency Hospital, Nguyen Trai hospital and Gia Dinh people's hospital from May 9/2011 to March 3/2012 on the following factors: facilities, administrative procedures, treatment team physician, nursing care and hygiene, security and order of the hospital. Results: The hospital patient satisfaction accounted for 95.1 percent, however, they mostly accepted at 84,8 percent satisfied. 75,1 percent satisfaction patients is influenced by 5 groups of factors: physical facilities, the administrative procedure, the treating doctor, the nursing care and hygiene
security and order. The regression results show that the patient's satisfaction comes from HL1: 3 group elements (facilities), HL2 (administrative) and HL4 (nursing work) with p 0.05 in which the most dependent on HL4. Conclusions: The ' patient satisfaction rate hospitals accounted for 95.1 percent. However, satisfied at an acceptable level is 84.8 percent. The group factors affecting patient satisfaction in health care is nursing care, physical facilities and' administrative procedures of the hospital.
