To survey 732 inpatients and outpatients at Tradition medicine hospital of Binh Dinh to collect treatment costs (direct, indirect and opportunity costs) that the patient had to spend in treatment time. Results: The mean of treatment cost total of a patient was 5.940.663 VND
In which, the mean of direct costs was 2.378.851 VND
indirect costs and opportunity was 3.448.319 VND. Structure of direct costs: The costs of bed was 6.8 percent, test: 10.1 percent

operation: 24.4 percent. There were 74.2 percent afford to pay, 19.3 percent had to borrow and 6.5 percent can't pay. Percentage afford to pay of patients with health insurance (74.5 percent) was higher than without health insurance (42.9 percent). Conclusions: With the costs of treating at the Traditional Medicine Hospital of Binh Dinh province year 2012, the percentage of patients afford to pay was 74.2 percent
in which, the rate of patients without health insurance was low (42,9 percent). The mean treatment total cost of outpatient was lower than inpatient.
