This article presents method and results of study on technology of flame retardant and water repellent for cotton fabric used for civil and special purposes. In this work, the authors of chemical substances for the treatment, and the suitable ones for cotton fabric treatment are chosen. The authors study influence of some main parameters: a heating temperature, a time of heating and concentration of eros-linking substance on the fabric properties, such as its flame time, water repellent and tensile strenght after the treatment and after 5 washing cycles. In this work, the Box-Wilson method and the Design Expert 6.0 software are used to design the experiment and to treat the experimental data. The experiment regression functions between three parameters and the flame time, water repellent and tensile strength of the fabirc after treatment and after 5 washing cycles were established. From that, the optimal technological parameters were determined, which ensure that the treated fabric has good flame retardant, water repellent and mechanical properties.
