Background: Multiple myeloma is a neoplastic plasma cell, that is characterized by donal proliferation of malignant plasma cells in bone marrow and other tissues. Objective: describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics in multiple myeloma patients treated at Department of Haematological Diseases of No.108 Military Central hospital. Patients and Methods: A cross sectional study on 66 Multiple Myeloma patients from 2009 to 2013. Results: At the first admission, 86,3 percent of patients had anemia, 84,8 percent had bone pain. 59,1 percent were at stage III of ISS. Thrombocytopenia percentage was 25,8 percent. 36,4 percent had renal faillure Hypercalcemia percentage was 27,3 percent. The bone marrow aspiration of 80,3 percent containing more 10 percent in plasma cell. 53,1 percent was augmentation of IgG, 18,2 percent was IgA and 1,5 percent was IgM. The most bones lesions was especially degenerative lumbar spine (57,5 percent) and the second was lumbar vertebrae collapse (31,8 percent). Conclusion: increase In the percentage of plasmocyte In bone marrow, monoclonal Ig Increased and bone lesions in multi location are the main criteria for the diagnosis of multiple myeloma.
