The field experiment was carried out in the winter crop of 2012 and spring crop of 2013 with 8 different potential hybrid corn varieties and the NK4300 (the control). The results of the experiment show that the trialed varieties has the medium growth duration (from 105-119 days), which is suitable for winter and spring crops in Thai Nguyen province. The KK11-12, KK11-18 and KK11-19 varieties have the best resistant capacity to corn blast disease among the tested varieties in the experiment with the infected rate of 1.1-5.42 percent (2012 winter crop) and 15.0730.51 percent lower that rate of the control with P value 0.05. The actual yield of the tested varieties was from 62.46-83.89 quintals/ha (in winter crop of 2012) and 58.20-74.62 quintals/ha (in the spring crop of 2013). The KKI1-19 variety had the actual yield of 74.62-83.89 quintals/ha that was higher compared to the control at the 95 percent of confidence in the two testing crops.
