Introduction and. objective: to study the change of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit based on renal insufficiency stages and the relationships between erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit with serum creatinin concentration on kidney-stone patients with renal failure. Patients and method: The prospective cross-sectional study was performed on 58 kidney-stone patients with renal failure in Department of Urologic Surgery, No.103 Hospital. Results: The erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit decreased gradually when the serum creatinin concentration increased. The differences between anemia indexes of each stage were not significant statistically. There was negative correlations between the serum creatinin concentration and erythrocytes (r=-0.36), hemoglobin (r=-O.4), hematocrit (r=-0.332). Conclusion: The erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit decreased gradually when the serum creatinin concentration increased. There was negative correlations between the serum creatinin concentration and erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit). The correlations between creatinin concentration and hemoglobin was stronger than erythrocytes as well as hematocrit. Hemoglobin is also a prosgnotic index in kidney-stone patients with renal insufficiency.
