Background. to find out some elements related epidemiology of pterygium disease in eye. Patients: 63 patients diagnosed pterygium and treated at of ophthalmologic of No.103 Hospital and Institute of Aviation Medicine 7/2008 to 4/2009 (resident in hospital). Method: Cross-Observation stady. Conclusion: Pterygium heavily concentrated in age 40 (96.8 percent), mainly in the age group 50 (77.8 percent). The ratio between male and female patients was similar (33/30 = 52.3 percent / 47.7 percent). The majority of pterygium of the inside comer of eye (90.9 percent), only 9.1 percent is double pterygium. This difference is statistically significant (p 0.001). 68.3 percent of patients have working environment with regular exposure to factors such as wind, dust, ultraviolet rays (farmer, soldiers).
