Climate change is now widely concerned as the major environmental challenge facing the globe in the 21st century. Climate change is likely to impact adversely on human life as well as the development of economics. Therefore, the awareness of changing, assessment of economic, social and environmental losses caused by climate change are becoming essential issues for humanity. This paper studies a methodology on estimating the economic losses which increases annually in exploitation management and protection of irrigation systems caused by climate change. In addition, the study proposes a number of recommendations to policy makers and relevant stakeholders in order to consider the impacts of climate change in exploitation management of hydraulic structures.
