Introduction and Objective: Investigating prominent feature of dyslipidemia and evaluating the efficiency of dyslipidemia treatment in chronic hemodialysis patients in Thong Nhat Hospital, Ho Chi Minh city. Patients and methods: Patients: 75 chronic hemodialysis (CHD) patients with the mean age of 65.33 + or - 12.98 in the Nephrology and Dialysis Department, Thong Nhat Hospital in the period of 9/2009-3/2010 were enrolled the study. Method: prospective and cross-section. Results: Prevalence of increasing of cholesterone, triglyceride, both cholesterol and triglyceride, decreasing of HDL, increase of LDL in CHD patients with dyslipidemia was 38.2 percent

Prevalence of patients with diabetes and hypertension in dyslipidemia group versus nondyslipidemia group was 30.91 percent vs 15 percent (p0.05) and 8?.45 percent vs 65 percent (p0.05) respectively. Percentage of CHD patients controlled well dyslipidemia was 26.7 percent. Among subjects with hyperlipidemia, 23.69 percent of CHD patients were treated with a lipid- lowering agents.
