 Introduction and objectives: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is classified into the reproductive health protection program for men and paid more attention to. Besides, in Can Tho city, there has been no accurate data on the proportion of men with ED and no survey of factors related to ED patients so far and the medical knowledge of ED is not so popular. Objectives: l/Determine the rate and degree of erectile dysfunction in men over 18 years old at Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city
  2/ learn several factors related to erectile dysfunction in men over 18 years old at Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city. Patients and methods: Men over 18 years old at Ninh Kieu district of Can Tho city and normal genitals (including penis and testicles). Method: cross-sectional study. Results: The research results showed that the prevalence of erectile dysfunction disease in men over 18 years old was 17.9 percent. In the 40-59 age group accounted for the highest rate of 59.42 percent
  the age group 18-39 and or = 60 accounted for 28.99 percent and 11.59 percent, respectively. There was significant association between frequency and severity of erectile dysfunction with age, duration of diabetes, body mass index and heart diseases (p0.05). The elements of family economic status and educational levels didn't not have the association with erectile dysfunction (p0.05). Conclusions: The prevalence of erectile dysfunction of men over age 18 is 17.9 percent. In the 40-59 age group accounted for the highest rate of 59.42 percent, the age group 18-39 and or = 60 age group accounted for 28.99 percent and 11.59 percent. Age and body mass index has an significant association with ED (p0.05). Cardiovascular disease and diabetes associated with erectile dysfunction (p0.05). The elements of family economic status and educational levels do not have the correlation with erectile dysfunction (p 0.05).
