In this study, a simultaneous quantitative determination of three antibiotics (amoxicillin, oxytetracycline and ofloxacin) was made using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) technique. The results show that an HPLC analysis can be used to determine the content of amoxicillin, oxytetracycline and ofloxacin present in food simultaneously and with high precision and accuracy. Under optimal conditions, the process was applied to determine, simultaneously, the content of amoxicillin, oxytetracycline and ofloxacin present in chicken and pork meat that was being sold in the marketplace. The results showed that the content of both amoxicillin and oxytetracycline found in the some samples of chicken and pork meat were much higher than allowed by law.
