Cyprinid herpesvirus 3 (CyHV3) belong to herpesviridae family, are caused a disease connected with high mortality of common carp and Koi carp. This virus was first isolated in the USA in 1998, following were detected in many Country in Europe, Asian, America and Africa. The detection of Cyprinid herpesvirus 3 by PCR technique is current most efficient method. The two genes of sphI and thimidine kinase (tk) are frequently using for detection of CyHV3 by PCR. Amino acid sequences of gene encoding for OFR72 from CyHV3 were Waltzek shown high identity to capsid trilex protein from Ictalurid herpesvirus I (IcHV-I) and Cyprinid herpesviruses I (CyHV-I), which are potential gene could used for detection of CyHV3 by PCR. In this report, the authors reported two complete orf72 from Cyprinid herpesvirus 3 were amplified by PCR from carp fish tissues, which was collected from Vietnam. These genes were successfully cloned in E. coli and nucleotide sequenced. The length of isolated orf72 from Vietnam has 1113 bp, coding for a protein contains 370 amino acid. The homology of these genes was 99,9 - 100 percent (nucleotide) and 100 percent (amino acid) w}ten compare with known orf72 from Cyprinid herpesvirus 3 in Genbank.
