Objective: Remark on clinical characteristics and situation of strabismus sugery in half year in VNIO. Patients and methods: Strabismus patients, operated in VNIO in half of year. A retrospective discription study. Procedure: Visual acuity measurement, refraction, strabismus, binocular assessment. Age, number of eyes, muscles and method of surgery. Results: Esotropia is more common than extropia. 9.31 percent associated vertical deviation. Stable deviation is 81.38 percent with 17.93 percent strabismus deviation more than 30, 97.6 percent of patients have bilateral fixation. 60 percent of patients do not have binocular vision. 56.89 percent patients with amblyopia. Means of operation age was of 9.7 percent and 45.86 percent were operated before 6 year of age. Conclusion: Esotropia is common, 9.31 percent associated with vertical diviation, 81.38 percent strabismus is stable with 17.93 percent more than 30, 60 percent of patients without binocular vision, 56.89 percent of patients have amblyopia. Means of surgical age was 7.97, 64.83 percent of patients were operated on both eyes. Muscle resection was 21.65 percent. There is a relationship between the amount of deviation and number of surgery muscles but not to number of eye surgery.
